GaitScan™ Features

Foot Scanning Foot Scanning

As your patient strides across the GaitScan™ pressure plate, 4096 tiny sensors scan the plantar surface of the foot. The GaitScan™ system records timing sequences during gait and captures the relative pressure load of each area of the foot including: Medial Heel, Lateral Heel, Mid-foot, Metatarsals1-5, the Hallux and the Toes 2- 5. Our static display captures bilateral pressure distribution: useful in both pre and post treatment and for detecting leg length discrepancies.

Foot Pressure Mapping Foot Pressure Mapping

GaitScan™ gives you the ability to view the plantar pressures of the foot in 2-D or 3-D. You can even view and compare the right and left foot of the patient in a synchronized mode. The 2-D synchronized mode screen displays the centre of pressure or "gait line" of the foot during the entire step. You can also compare any patient scan to a foot with ideal mechanics or any other scan in your patient database. The dynamic scanning attribute allows foot pressures to be accurately graphed during the running and walking phases.

No Cost Reporting No Cost Reporting

GaitScan™ provides no-cost on-site analysis reports. These will assist in:
 • Quantifying assessment findings.
 • Further evaluating patient foot mechanics.
 • Educating your patients.
These reports also serve as assessment documentation for your clinic, insurance claims and patients' referring physician.

Pressure and Timing Data Pressure & Timing Data

With an industry high of 4096 sensors scanning at 300Hz, we offer the most advanced pressure plate technology on the market. The pressure and timing information is captured in a report that provides advanced, easy, and ready to be interpreted data. This information will help you prescribe the optimal orthotic for your patient and will provide our lab with quantitative data to support your prescription.

Comparison Compatibility Comparison Capability

Compare your patient's scan to an optimal scan or another scan in your database. This enables the patient to understand how their foot biomechanics compare to those of an optimal foot.

True Portability True Portability

With the USB connected pressure plate and sophisticated laptop, you can operate the system virtually anywhere, simply using the power from your computer.
